SHAMIR DRIVER INTELLIGENCE™ is designed to enable sharp and clear vision with less glare, day and night, and in low light conditions. Providing exceptionally wide and clear visual fields, and enhanced color contrasts, these innovative lenses help drivers adjust to changing light, reduce eye fatigue, and improve reaction time, leading to enhanced performance on the road.

Targeting visual challenges on the road

SHAMIR DRIVER INTELLIGENCE™ lenses were developed to address visual challenges faced by drivers, such as sudden changes in road conditions, varying light intensities from the sun, streetlights and oncoming cars’ headlights, as well as the need to keep switching focus between the vehicle interior and the distant road. Disturbances introduced by modern technology, such as in-car digital screen displays and bright LED lights, add further challenges for today’s drivers. Research and surveys revealed that many drivers suffer from eye fatigue and/or struggle with focusing quickly on varying distances.

Innovating for performance

In developing these driver-dedicated performance lenses, Shamir conducted intensive research, including extensive head movement and eye-tracking measurements, and utilized cutting-edge technologies, including elements of AI. The development process incorporated feedback from Shamir’s optical performance partner, BWT Alpine F1 Team. A full optical lenses solution for uncompromised driving performance

SHAMIR DRIVER INTELLIGENCE™ lenses come in two pairs, Sun and Moon, both available as Single or Progressive Vision.

Sun lenses, for daytime driving, enhance color perception, making objects appear more vivid, similar to the effects of Formula F1 racing helmet visors. They come in a choice of four tints and have an advanced anti-reflective coating that reduces disturbing sun glare.

Moon lenses, for driving in low-light conditions and nighttime, feature visual age-based myopic shift for improved low-light sharpness. They reduce visual noise, eye fatigue, and reaction times, for safer driver performance.
