I’ve been wearing Shamir Autograph Intelligence lenses now for around 10 month & have been very pleased with them. I love the Blue Zero material for night time driving. Combined with Glacier Plus UV anti-reflection coating, by far the best ever multi-focal lenses I’ve had, vision is like HD. However…..with the onset of Covid 19 and the compulsory wearing of face masks, life became difficult. The lenses constantly steamed up. I couldn’t see to do my job. After talking to our Shamir Rep, Ryan, he advised the Autograph Intelligence lens again, this time with the Anti-fog coating. GAME CHANGER!! It’s made my daily life much easier and better. I already think Autograph Intelligence is the best lens on the market, and now with the Anti-fog, it’s got what it takes to rise to the top.

After a few weeks into lockdown I was volunteered to redeploy for a short time to the Intensive Care Unit to assist through the pressures of the pandemic. This involved wearing full PPE for 12 hour shifts. As this could not be removed at any time while providing care I found myself with the difficult dilemma of being able to see properly and the safety of myself and my patients.

Knowing Ryan Crawford through a mutual friend I contacted him for help and advice he then kindly offered a solution to my problem. Within a week or so I was as supplied with my new anti-fog glasses which were kindly donated to me by Urquharts and Shamir. I cannot express my gratitude enough as working 12 hour shifts while wearing a mask and glasses was hard enough seeing through steamed glasses when you breathe is very problematic. The anti-fog lenses really make the difference. I see many colleagues still struggling daily with this issue and of course I recommend Shamir when asked ‘why aren’t your glasses steaming up?’.
