Shamir’s unique As-worn Technology™ bridges the geometric gap between the trial frame used by the optometrist when measuring the patient’s prescription, and the actual frame chosen by the patient.

Ensuring the same level of visual acuity and comfort

With As-worn Technology™, three essential measurements are determined: Pantoscopic tilt, vertex distance, and face-form angle of the patient’s eyewear. Necessary power changes are then calculated in order to achieve a new Rx called The Manufactured Prescription™. This ensures that the prescription as experienced by the patient once the lens is fit into the frame, is the same as the original prescription measured by the optometrist – giving the patient the same viewing comfort and visual acuity.
